Social media is always a hot topic for small businesses. There’s always a new platform, a new trick or tactic, or a new tweak to Facebook’s algorithms that keep small business owners on their toes. HEre’s a list of tips to help you get with the social media hype. Trust us, it’ll help you with your online sales and service.
Connect via your mobile. Customers appreciate prompt responses to questions or orders. If you are connected to all elements of your online presence from your phone you will never disappoint a customer.
Keep changing it up and keep your social current. No one wants to read old news. Post something every day. Otherwise, as the old adage goes, you’ll be out of sight and out of mind.
Keep everything current, use high quality photos, and don’t be afraid to show a bit of your personal life. Small business is all about connection and humanizing business. Get personal.
Involve your followers in your social media posts. A small product giveaway never hurt anyone. When I’m quiet for a few days, my business goes quiet too. On the other hand, I’ve seen some awesome growth from a single comment on a Facebook post.
Post clear, bright photos of your products. Try to tell a story with your pictures to draw your readers in and keep them interested. If you ask for people to like, share, favourite, or comment on the photos, make sure you return the favor by doing it for them as well.
Don’t constantly sell on your social media platforms. Intersperse value posts as well.
